The excellent skills and collective talent and efforts of the Eastern Design Office team has resulted in building this fascinating residence at the edge of residential architecture. Displaying a fabulous shape inspired by the surroundings, the Horizontal House hides its main feature of being a very livable contemporary residence. Although it might not seem like a home, the highly modern home features all necessary things to live a comfortable life. The village surrounding this home is only made of six residences in total, so the shape of the house traces the boundary of the village – not a very hard thing to do when you have so little neighbors.

Situated on the north edge of the village, the house extends its stone wall to shape a fantastic architecture. Displaying a very spacious collection of spaces, the residence is split by horizontal slits that offer different vantage points to enjoy the view. Some spaces are opened to a scene, while others gather panoramic views from the opposing side of the house. The slits allow anyone to see different scenery by moving their position even if it were an equal height: the river and the village on one side are seen when standing, the mountain is seen when sitting, and the sky is seen when lying down. Awesome residence, don’t you think?
