This modern minimalist single family house located in suburb area of Athens known as Ekali. This house environtment surrounded by high pine trees that very shady, this let the house designed using a sliding glass wall that can be continuously open able in the south and east side of the ground floor. The wide glass design allow the sun enter deep into the large living space interior and have view to the fenced garden. The project is designed a main open plan area on the south-east corner of this house, The pool also designed attach into the building.
The master bedrooms located on the upper level of this modern minimalist house above the main living area as a private space. It’s designed carefully to make a semi open plan area as well as double height areas from ground level. The house covered by double curved roof which created from conventional ceramic material. The roof tile cladding down cascade to the surface of the north house wall, create a beautiful rain screen as a visual impression of protective curtain of the house. The material element construction for this house using white plaster, marble, stone veneer, and wood. The architect want to design typical Greek suburbia Greek house in none conventional way.
