'Architecture' not limited to big city

Well, excuuuze me. For suggesting that the "architecture" (yes, architecture) of the new Crate and Barrel store, along with Whole Foods, its companion, was superior to the butler building they replaced south of Woodfield (not west as your editorial page writer indicates).

Certainly there was no intent to strike a comparison between the "architecture" of those 2 fine buildings and the architectural gems of the city of Chicago. The Thompson Center quickly comes to mind. Perhaps your Chicagophile Saturday editorial page writer will, after consulting a Village map, discover that architectural excellence can be found not "that" far away from Chicago, and even in Schaumburg.
